Kevin Taylor, Lena Yali and Greg McNamara

We are sad this week to hear of the tragic loss of Kevin Taylor, Lena Yali and her partner Greg McNamara this weekend in a traffic collision.

There passing is a loss to the Australian art, design and placemaking community. Our thoughts go to their families, and the teams at TCL and Troppo Architects.

  1. Yes, this is a terrible tragedy.

I, for one, have lost a friend of 36 years.

But he has not gone. His spirit is alive and his and loves live on in all of us who knew him.

One of the remarkable things about Kevin Taylor that we could take from this terrible event is that he loved his family and friends so deeply.

He showed us how to love.

He greatly loved and appreciated his wife, Kate, his two daughters, his wider family, his colleagues and his friends. His success never got in the way of love and friendship.

We can learn a lot from this humble, loving man: he was principled, family-oriented, generous and compassionate.

As we mourn of loss of our friend, let us do that with compassion for his beautiful soul and a recognition that in a life cut short, he revealed to us the kind of person each of us could become.

    Blessings on you, Kevin!
